Workshop: Personal Finance

  • WMC 2230 8888 University Drive West Burnaby, BC V5A 1S6 Canada (map)

Let’s be honest - as a university student, money is a sensitive issue no one seems to want to discuss. In fact, the average Canadian student graduates with up to $26,000 in debt according to Statistics Canada.

Welcome to SFU Finance Club's Workshop: Personal Finance - where you're going to learn how to start effectively budgeting for your day to day, or for your future ranging from topics regarding your savings to personal investments.

After building on the fundamentals of a sound personal finance strategy, you’re also going to learn about banking strategies, rent, retirement planning and how to build your own personal net-worth.

In our very first workshop, you're going to learn step by step on how to work on and understand...

  • Budgeting

  • Savings

  • Security

  • Stability

  • Diversity
